Casey Morgan- StudioDirector
Guitar, Piano, Bass, Drums, Ukulele, Banjo,
Mandolin, Blues Harp, Saxophone,
Vocal Instruction, Music Theory, Songwriting
They say there is no substitute for experience and this couldn't be exemplified any better than by Casey's long history of education, writing, performing and especially teaching from a very young age. While he began piano at 5 and guitar at 7, he has studied under a myriad of instructors over nearly his entire lifetime. Casey has been professionally teaching guitar & piano since the moment he graduated high school at age 18. At 21 he was accepted to Utah Conservatory's "apprentice" program where he studied under collegiate and doctorate level instructors. His patient temperament, low pressure environment and customized approach to each individual student made him one of the most sought after teachers at the conservatory and the first and only teacher to exceed the school director in student retention levels. Climbing the rungs of the latter quickly advancing himself from “apprentice” to “basic rate faculty” to “advanced faculty” and finally to “veteran faculty” within a 5 year span, Casey continued to teach full time for another 3 years as veteran faculty before breaking away to form his own school. In addition to specializing in guitar and piano, he teaches 10 instruments total, as well as comprehensive courses on music theory, composition, and songwriting. Having retired from performing in touring rock groups on big stages, he can be found at any given restaurant or event around Park City performing an enormous catalogue of acoustic music by request as a solo or duo act in any given genre. Casey is also a skilled songwriter spending any free time he can in the studio recording his original music. This short bio only grazes the surface. Jack Forster - Guitar Instruction
Guitar, Bass, Band Coaching
Jack Forster, 21, born and raised in the Park City area began private guitar instruction with studio director, Casey Morgan in 2010 at age 7 and continued avidly pushing the horizons of guitar technique under Casey over the next 10 years until graduating high school. Thirteen years after Jack walked into his first lesson, he may have superseded his mentor in skill just yet. While attending Park City High School, Jack played guitar for the Varsity Jazz Band under award-winning director Chris Taylor. While he started off with a deep passion for Blues music and Classic Rock, he has now vastly diversified his repertoire becoming not only a performer with an expansive catalogue, but an excellent songwriter, and instructor employing that same versatility and wealth of knowledge in his method of teaching. Jack also performs outside of teaching with various groups around northern Utah and the intermountain west. He has gone on to teach for multiple schools over the last 3 years and has finally landed back in his hometown of Park City teaching alongside his original mentor. Jack is eager to share his knowledge of the guitar by compelling a student driven curriculum with an individualized approach to meet the needs of any student at any given level. He has a knack for helping his students fall in love with their instrument, while progressing at their desired rate in a low-pressure environment. In addition, Jack will be playing a major role in coaching the kids’ and adult rock bands at Casey Morgan Music set to begin auditioning Summer 2023.
